Director of Project Management: Consultant - Akron, Ohio
Plan and coordinate the development of a project management office with electric utility client and drive all project activities such that the project(s) are completed within cost, schedule limits, and with requisite quality. The Director will be responsible to develop, manage and track all project budgets, work with managers to develop and execute all project schedules, plan project work, establish and execute project control plans, acquire and coordinate personnel to manage and execute project functions, initiate and oversee the procurement of goods and services for the projects, and report project status to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Successful candidates will have excellent management, writing and communication skills and a proven track record of success as a Project Manager (including budget and schedule management) with strong client management skills and experience writing proposals.
B.S. in engineering or related technical discipline with 5-10 years project management experience, preferably in the utility industry with Smart Grid expertise. PMP certification is desired.
Candidates who are detail-oriented, able to prioritize, and willing to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment are encouraged to apply.
